These are tie patterns modelled after uniform ties from my high school The Linsly School, in Wheeling, WV. 
I've always loved regimental or rep ties. They are simple, classic, and add a bit of old school swag to an outfit. And sometimes I wear them for nostalgic purposes, as they remind me of a bygone era in my life.
